‘I May Not Back You At The Next Election Unless…’ – Aisha Buhari Warns Her Husband

buhari-aisha-700x466
Presisdent Buhari’s wife has warned him that she may not back him at the next election unless he shakes up his government.
In a BBC interview, Aisha Buhari said the president “does not know” most of the top officials he has appointed.
She suggested the government had been hijacked, saying a “few people” were behind presidential appointments.
Mr Buhari was elected last year with a promise to tackle corruption and nepotism in government.
His wife’s decision to go public with her concerns will shock many people, but it shows the level of discontent with the president’s leadership, says the BBC’s Naziru Mikailu in the capital, Abuja.
The president famously remarked at his inauguration that he “belongs to nobody and belongs to everybody”.
In the interview with Naziru Mikailu, Mrs Buhari said: “The president does not know 45 out of 50, for example, of the people he appointed and I don’t know them either, despite being his wife of 27 years.”
She said people who did not share the vision of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) were now appointed to top posts because of the influence a “few people” wield.
“Some people are sitting down in their homes folding their arms only for them to be called to come and head an agency or a ministerial position.”
Asked to name those who had hijacked the government, she refused, saying: “You will know them if you watch television.”
On whether the president was in charge, she said: “That is left for the people to decide.”
Mrs Buhari said her husband had not told her whether he would contest the 2019 election.
“He is yet to tell me but I have decided as his wife, that if things continue like this up to 2019, I will not go out and campaign again and ask any woman to vote like I did before. I will never do it again.”
Asked what she regarded as the government’s major achievement, she said it was to improve security in the north-east where militant Islamist group Boko Haram has waged an insurgency since 2009.
“No-one is complaining about being attacked in their own homes. Thankfully everyone can walk around freely, go to places of worship, etc. Even kids in Maiduguri have returned to schools,” Mrs Buhari said, referring to the city which was once the headquarters of the militant group.

pastor
A pastor from South Africa by the names of Alfred Ndlovu has died of malnutrition after going without food for 30 days when he tried to emulate Jesus Christ and fast for 40 days and 40 nights.
Alfred Ndlovu, 44  left home on 17 June and headed into the bush to conduct prayers  redirecting his attention to God, away from things of the earth. He was known by his family and community at large as a very spiritual person whose faith could move mountains and his death has puzzled those close to him and church members.
One close relative said: He was a very spiritual man. Its unfortunate he had to die this way. After a month we got the sad news of his death.
Pastor was a healthy and religious old man who did not even look his age.”
Attempting to equal or break Jesus Christ record of fasting for 40 days, Mr Alfred Ndlovu gave up the ghost after just a month despite having no history of illness. He was alone in the wilderness and his body was found by a stranger who then alerted the police.

Lovers-Legs-1

A man identified as Casmir Eze has landed in trouble for forcefully having carnal knowledge of a 15-year-old girl at gun point.  The girl identified as Marcillus Ogechi is an orphan. The horny man has been arrested by the police in Enugu.
The ugly incident happened on Sunday, May 22 in  the Udenu area of Enugu State.
It was gathered that the rapist entered the girls family house around 2am on that day after scaling a fence. He entered Ogechi’s room after ordering her to open the door, or risk being killed. Out of fear, the girl opened the door.He then ordered Ogechi to undress and put off the lantern, after which he forcefully had carnal knowledge of her.
He wore mask throughout the ordeal. But, luck ran out of him as he didn’t realize the girl knew him. He was subsequently traced and arrested after Ogechi told her relatives what had happened.
Eze has confessed to the crime as he said the devil led him into the act. He revealed that he has been sexually attracted to the girl but didn’t know how to tell her.
“It was the devil that pushed me into the act – I don’t know what came over me.
“I have been targeting how to get the girl since but I don’t know how to go about it so I had to come through this way,” Eze said.
The suspect, who is also begging for forgiveness, had sworn that he would never express his feeling for girls in such manner again, if let off the hook.
However, Amaraizu disclosed that Eze would soon be charged to court.
Spokesman for the Enugu State Police Command, Mr. Ebere Amaraizu, who confirmed the development, said the suspect is currently in custody.
The police spokesman added that investigation into the matter has commenced.

In what will come across as a really shocking development, a man has been c@ught trying to dump a woman’s dead body in a river.

A man identified as one Patrick Muriuki, has been arrested by the police after he was c@ught with a woman’s body. Muruiki, a Kenyan man, who was dumping a body of the woman in Nairobi River Wednesday, September 7, was spotted, chased and nabbed by street children who alerted the police.
According to Tuko, Patrick Muriuki had arrived at the riverside in Kamukunji with the body wrapped in a sack and on a handcart and as he offloaded it, the children saw him and confronted him.
He tried to flee but the street children overpowered him and one of them was sent to alert police at Kamukunji police station.
Police arrested him and identified the body of the woman.
His accomplice managed to flee.
The woman is believed to have been killed elsewhere and the dumping was meant to conceal her disappearance.
Kenyans have been full of praise for the street children for the role they played in ensuring the suspect is nabbed.
Normally, street children are a neglected lot despite calls for the government to intervene and have them settled and rehabilitated.

Man in court for allegedly raping 15-year-old step daughter

Rape-Girl-Victim
An Ikeja Chief Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday remanded in prison Solomon Emeruwa, 34, for allegedly raping his 15-year-old step daughter.
The Chief Magistrate, Mr Tajudeen Elias, ordered that the accused be remanded inKirikiri Prison and adjourned the case till Feb. 29 for bail application.
Emeruwa, a trader, of No.13, Africa Road, Ifako Ijaiye, a suburb of Lagos, is facing a two-count charge of rape and assault.
The prosecutor, Insp. Benedict Aigbokhan, told the court that the offences were committed between 2013 and Feb. 8, 2016 in the residence of the accused.
Aigbokhan said Emeruwa is the step father of the 15-year-old victim, who lives with him and her mother.
One of their neighbours heard the victim crying at midnight and suspected something must be going on. She then called the victim in the morning to ask her about it.
“The victim narrated how the accused defiled her when she was 12 years old and since then, had continued to have his way with her,’’ Aigbokhan said.
The prosecutor also told the court that the victim told her mother, who is a wife to the accused but she instructed her not to tell anyone.
The victim’s mother had travelled out of town when the accused raped the girl again on Feb. 8, and when she resisted him, he beat her with a stick,’’ Aigbokhan said.
According to the prosecutor, the offences contravene Sections 168 and 259 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2011.
The accused, however, pleaded not guilty to the charges.

Shocking!! 50 Years Old Man Gets His 14-year-old Daughter Pregnant In Ekiti (What He Does Next Is Shocking)

wp-1473181680544
The man simply identified as Williams, has done unspeakable things to his own daughter.
The 50-year-old man and native of Emure in Emure Local Government Area of Ekiti State, allegedly impregnated his 14-year old daughter (names withheld), and subsequently murdered her to cover up his crime.
The act has left many residents in complete shock.
According to Daily Post, residents in the community revealed that Williams had some few months ago ended up putting his 14-year old daughter in the family way after series of alleged illicit affair with the poor girl. They added that recently, the girl began to develop a protruding stomach and no one was seen with her except her father.
Neigbhours who had been suspicious of the unholy rapport between father and daughter began to peddle rumours about the source of the girl’s pregnancy. Soon, the news was making the rounds among the villagers, gossips and rumour mongers that Williams had performed the ‘uncommon feat’ of impregnating his own daughter.
Moreso, that the community isn’t a complex one as relationships among residents are closely knitted: like the saying goes ‘bad news spreads like wild fire”; in no time, everyone began to point fingers at Williams whenever he passes on the streets, they were telling one another that he had put his own daughter in the family way.
Then the worst happened. According to Anike, a lady resident in the community, Williams woke up on Sunday (September 4) morning, summoned yet another uncommon courage, took his ‘expectant girl’ to his farm in Aba Iso area of the community, ended the whole shameful drama there, quietly dispatched the girl and her unborn baby into an early grave.

We are sure Williams killed his pregnant girl so as to cover up his crime because the girl’s pregnancy was already becoming very conspicuous and everyone knew that it was her father who slept with her,” the lady said.
” It took us a while before we were able to apprehend Williams and drag him to the Oba’s palace, Oba Emmanuel Adebayo who is himself a retired Police Commissioner.
“The monarch has since handed him over to the Civil Defence Corps who have since taken up the matter,” another resident, Omodele, said.

A defining moment for Nigeria that America shouldn’t miss

Last month, Nigeria completed a competitive national election in a peaceful and transparent manner. While the United States lent a hand as the democratic process played out, its participation
cannot conclude with it applauding Nigeria’s success from afar. In fact, in some ways, its involvement is only beginning, which is why I strongly urge President Obama to attend the inauguration of President-elect Muhammadu Buhari on May 29.

Obama’s presence at this historic event would send the right signal at the right time. This election was a landmark victory for democracy in Africa and for struggling people everywhere, and the U.S. president’s participation would make a powerful statement of hope and renewal. Nigeria is at a crossroads. While it faces a brutal terrorism campaign in the north, and multiple other development challenges elsewhere across the country, it remains the largest economy in an extremely important part of the world and is poised to achieve much more in the years ahead.

Nigerians are well aware that Obama bypassed their country during two previous visits to Africa. Many excused this, believing his decision was based on the fact that Nigeria had not shown sufficient progress on its democratic processes. They were also mindful of concerns about corruption, along with the fierce security threats posed by Boko Haram.

But conditions on the ground have changed dramatically. There is a new, hopeful landscape in Nigeria that could be broadcast loudly to the world by Obama’s presence at the inauguration. His attendance could also provide the spark needed to reenergize and refocus U.S-Nigeria relations, a partnership that appears to have stumbled recently.

The United States has an enormous stake in what happens in Nigeria. Credit for the successful elections rightly belongs to the Nigerian people, but they are the first to admit that the United States provided strong support to the electoral process. This explains why Buhari, in his victory speech, promptly expressed the gratitude of the Nigerian people to the United States and other international partners. He also pledged to engage the governments of partners such as the United States in tackling Nigeria’s numerous challenges.

The inauguration ceremony will be a defining moment for Nigeria’s maturing democracy. The day will be a call for Nigerians and their foreign friends and partners to demonstrate the strength and promise of their collective commitment to democracy.

Who better to embrace and validate this new budding freedom in Nigeria than the leader of the world’s most prestigious democracy, the United States?

Ifeanyi Ubah escapes assassination, one aide killed

According to a report by Sun News, billionaire business man, politician and founder/CEO of Transformation Ambassadors of Nigeria (TAN), Ifeanyi Ubah, escaped suspected assassins recently. According to reports, the chairman of Capital Oil Limited, was supposed to go inspect one of his lands situated in an area after Apo mechanic village in Abuja but changed his mind last minute and instead asked his TAN directors to go at the last minute.

When the people he sent arrived the site, they were shot by gunmen who were already laying in wait for them at the site. One of his aides, identified as Mbanefo was killed while the other named Barrister Chuman was abducted.

A top security source disclosed to Daily Sun that the incident occurred on Wednesday and ransom of about N10 million was paid the next day before Chuma was released.

The source said the personnel of the Department of State Security Service (DSS) have arrested the kidnappers, with their loot at a hotel in Mararaba, another densely populated area in Nasarawa State not far from Abuja city centre.

Update: Ifeanyi Ubah media aides have released a statement denying this reports. Read below...
Fake News about Ifeanyi Ubah Assasination is not true.
Just early this morning, news of an assassination attempt on the life of the founder of Transformation Ambassador of Nigeria (TAN) Dr. Patrick Ifeanyi was all over social media and we have reason to debunk this as it is not true but a figment of the imagination of mischief makers. They even reported that one of his aides was killed in the assassination attempt.

Dr. Ifeanyi Ubah is hale and hearty. He was in Taraba just yesterday as he went to watch his football club, Ifeanyi Ubah FC. He is in high spirit and enjoying himself. He was even interviewed by the AIT crew on ground at the stadium.

The story is not true and should be disregarded. I spoke with him just now and he has asked me to make these clarifications. Thank you.

Non-indigenes in Lagos must respect their hosts - Oba of Lagos

In an exclusive interview with Punch, the Oba of Lagos, Riliwanu Akiolu, says there is a need for non-indigenes in Lagos State to respect the tradition and culture of their host.
“Eze Odimegwu, who is a former CEO of Nigerian Breweries, is still my best friend as well as many others. The Obi of Onitsha came to visit me here a few days ago. When you go to a place, you have to respect the host leaders, particularly the traditional leaders there because you are coming to benefit from their success. The people of Lagos are the friendliest and most accommodating people in Nigeria.”
He said the video which showed him issuing threats to Igbo leaders was a misrepresentation of what truly transpired. He said the issue was twisted by those who wanted to gain political advantage ahead of the governorship election but God put them to shame.
“Those who orchestrated the entire incident know themselves and I tell you, those (Igbo leaders) who came here on that day understand me a lot and have even been coming since then,” he said.

President Jonathan should not be scared of persecution - APC

Read the APC press statement below...
The All Progressives Congress (APC) has said the incoming Buhari Administration will not persecute anyone, contrary to statements credited to President Goodluck Jonathan. In a statement issued in Abuja on Monday by its National Publicity Secretary, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, the party said, however, that those who have played poker with the nation’s destiny must be willing and eager to clear their conscience before man and God.
"That the President-elect is a man of integrity is not an issue for debate, and he has made it clear that he will not be bogged down by endless probes.

"However, the hands of the incoming government will not be tied by those who have chosen to play the victim and exhibit a persecution mentality. Whoever has any reason to be afraid must lay bare such reason before Nigerians,” the party said. It said that under the climate of change that Nigerians have ushered in with their votes, only the guilty needs to be afraid, and those with a guilty conscience, on account of their actions in the public sphere, must clear such so they can be at peace with themselves.

"The last time we checked, this does not fit the definition of persecution,” APC said. The party wondered why the President chose a public forum to express his fears when he could have done so privately during his meetings with the President-elect.

"Since the presidential election was won and lost, the President and the President-elect have met privately a number of times. Why didn’t President Jonathan express his apprehensions during these meetings? ”Even if the two have not met, the President could have reached out to the President-elect over any fears that he may be nursing, instead of engaging in an action that seems like he was being preemptive and seeking to curry public sympathy,” it said

APC insisted that the priority of the incoming government will be the welfare and security of the long-suffering people of Nigeria, and enjoined all citizens to support the Administration in charting a new path for the country – away from the rapaciousness and impunity of the past years.

9 US police officers fired over death of young Nigerian man in their custody

We carried this story a few months ago. Handsome 22 year old Nigerian college student and artist Matthew Ajibade, was found dead in restraints in an isolation cell after he was booked into a county jail in Georgia on January 1st. Ajibade had been arrested on domestic violence charges following a fight with his girlfriend. If you missed the story, read here.

Police said they were called to a home and when they arrived, they saw Ajibade holding his girlfriend down under a blanket and refused to release her. They claim the gilr had bruises on her face and her nose was bleeding and when they tried to arrest Ajibade, he became combative and had to restrained. His family lawyer has since said Ajibade was bipolar. The update now is that 9 police officers have been fired in connection with his death.
From UK Daily Mail
The sheriff released no findings from the investigations into Ajibade's death, which is still considered an open case as prosecutors weigh possible criminal charges. However, the sheriff's office did provide a February 9 memo reminding deputies that they were prohibited from using stun guns on detainees already in restraints.
'Do not utilize any conducted electrical weapon to gain control of a detainee who is in full restraints while in a restraint chair,' the memo said, noting that detainees with both their hands and feet bound were to be considered fully restrained.
Sheriff's officials have previously said Ajibade was placed in a restraining chair in an isolation cell after he became combative during booking and injured three deputies. One deputy suffered a concussion and a broken nose, according to the sheriff's office. Authorities have declined to publicly release the report on Ajibade's autopsy, citing the open investigation.
The fired deputies include two supervisors — Cpl. Maxine Evans and Cpl. Jason Kenny — who were suspended after Ajibade died. The Associated Press could not find a phone number for either deputy Friday evening.
The sheriff deeply regrets the death of Mr. Ajibade,' said a statement released by the sheriff's office Friday. It said new policies implemented since Ajibade's death include security measures to audit the use of stun guns at the jail as well as booking procedures to ensure jail medical staff are notified immediately when a detainee requiring medication arrives.
