A 16-year-old Indian girl has been allegedly r*ped.

The young girl was brutally r*ped by her neighbour on the pretext of marriage, in Bhognipur police area of Kanpur Dehat district, India.

The man has since disappeared from sight after the incident.

According to Times of India, a case has been registered against the accused on Sunday.

As per police reports, the accused was identified as Chandrapal, who resides in the neighbourhood. Chandrapal had come in the victim’s contact about eight months ago and the both started having an affair.

He promised to marry her and one day dragged her indoors and r*ped her while she was alone in the house.

Chandrapal later went back on is words and refused to marry the girl.

The girl then apprised her parents of the incident, who then reported the matter to the Bhognipur Kotwali police. Chandrapal is on the run.

“A case has been registered with the Bhognipur Kotwali police under Section 376 (punishment for r*pe), 363 (punishment for kidnapping), 366 (kidnapping, abducting or compelling woman to marriage etc) of the IPC, besides POCSO Act,” SHO Bhognipur Anup Dubey, said.

A police official privy to the investigation said, “We have registered a case. The accused Chandrapal is absconding. Raids are on to arrest him.”

According to Rebecca Mokoena, the matriarch of the family, they are under a curse and that the number ‘4’ is a sign of bad luck for them.

Daily Sun SA reports, in 1994, Rebecca Mokoena’s only son Oupa disappeared without trace. Ten years later (2004), her husband Ishmael also vanished without trace.

Rebecca (42) said a native doctor came to strengthen her home so none of her male grandchildren disappeared. But even though the native doctor performed rituals she still lives in fear.

What worries her most is that her husband and son were mentally well when they disappeared. “I would understand if they were mentally disturbed or if we quarrelled, but none of that is a factor.”

Rebecca said she doesn’t sleep at night when she thinks about their disappearances. “I sometimes see my husband in dreams and he doesn’t seem to be happy. I’m asking for prayers.” she said

A native doctor, Madoda Vhuthela says idukanezwe is used by some bad ritualists to destabilise families.

Alfred Maloka is a young man who has shocked many people with his life story.

The young man is said to have an ancestral calling and that the ancestors have allegedly instructed him not to cut his hair. This is because they communicate with him through his hair.

According to Daily Sun SA, Alfred Maloka, a 19-year-old from Laaste Hoop Village in Limpopo, South Africa, claimed he left his hair to grow into dreadlocks and for that he was suspended from Malatswa High School at the beginning of September.

That is after the teachers instructed him to cut his dreadlocks.

Alfred is now at home without any hope of writing the final year exams.

His mum, Emily Maloka, a 42-year-old, reported the matter to their Molepo circuit office but was allegedly not helped. “I used to cut his hair when he was still young but each time he would get sick.

“When we consulted a sangoma (herbalist), we were advised not to cut his hair anymore because he has a calling and his hair helps him communicate with his ancestors,” said the mum.

Emily said she explained everything to teachers when she was called to the school earlier this year. “His teachers said he is not a troublesome child at school. They didn’t explain what his hair has to do with their teaching and his learning,” sobbed Emily.

“When I ask them about other children who are allowed at school with fake hair while my child has natural hair, they say I must focus on my child and leave others out of it, but they attend the same school.”

Alfred said he cannot understand his teachers’ reasons for suspending him because he has been at the school for four years and they have never said anything before

“I’m worried that my future is now at standstill. I can’t defy my ancestors’ instruction. I suspect that I’m just a target but I don’t know for what reason,” said Alfred.

Limpopo Department of Education spokesman, Dr Naledzani Rasila said the mum must report the matter to the district or provincial office and they will give the family proper assistance.
