Celebrate Calmly & Never Attack PDP Supporters- Buhari Tells Followers
The candidate of the APC in the just-concluded elections, Muhammadu Buhari, has issued an interim message of thanks and gratitude to Nigerians for choosing him and his party over and above the Peoples Democratic Party and its candidate, the incumbent President, President Jonathan Goodluck.
The party declared victory after Mr. Jonathan called Mr. Buhari at 5:15pm to make a concession and congratulate the winner.
A statement issued Tuesday evening by the Director Media and Publicity of the APC Presidential Campaign Council, Garba Shehu, said the mood of the country as well as its current state did not warrant the type of wild celebrations reportedly going on in some cities across the country.
Mr. Buhari said anybody happy with the victory of the APC in the presidential election will not be involved in the molestation of opponents or the destruction of their property.
“He or she is not with me, whoever does that,” Mr. Buhari said.
He is due to make a major acceptance speech in the coming hours.
Photo: Emmanuel Adebayo Finally Settles With Family
This is so good. Remember the footballer and his immediate family members have not been at peace? If you missed the story read it here and here. Some reports said he decided to fight his siblings and mom because they were not managing the money he has been giving them well, and some also said he accused his mom of being a witch saying she is the reason of some of the badluck he has come across in life. But all that is over now, as Emmanuel this evening posted a picture of himself and his sister online and wrote just fooling around and acknowledging siblings are meant to be there for each other. Such good news.

At this historic moment, it is most important to say a hearty thank you to every Nigerian who voted for the APC. Your votes have not just elected the first opposition party into federal power, but has also set a precedent which will have positive implications for democracy across Africa.
Dear GMB, the journey has just begun. Millions of Nigerians have put their trust in you, because they were not satisfied with the status quo. You represent the hope of a new generation of Nigerians, and you cannot afford to fail them. Our party has made a promise of change to our young people, to secure and rebuild our country, create jobs and opportunity, and improve citizens’ welfare. We will stand behind you to ensure we keep those promises, just like we did during these elections.
Our country needs a new direction. We have voted for you, and our party won the election, but when you assume our highest office, you must become the president of not just the APC, but all of Nigeria, including the people who did not vote for you. We look up to you to heal the fractures of our country, and truly unite this country like never before.
To President Jonathan, I want to specially thank you for conducting a historic election. Your party may have lost the elections, but you have won the admiration of the world by not interfering with the wishes of Nigerians. History will be kind to you.
It is my sincere hope that we will all come together as one country, to build the Nigeria of our dreams.
God bless Nigeria.
My hearty congratulations to His Excellency, General Muhammadu Buhari, for being elected the next president of our beloved county, Nigeria. You have led our party, the All Progressives Congress to an unprecedented victory within two years of it’s official formation, and in so doing, written the most important chapter of our democracy. The great Nnamdi Azikiwe once wrote that “history will continue to vindicate the just”. Your victory in the polls, with votes from across the length and breadth of our country, bears witness to the acceptance of not just our party, the APC, but also your ideology of justice, fair play and zero tolerance for corruption as the bedrock for national rebirth.
At this historic moment, it is most important to say a hearty thank you to every Nigerian who voted for the APC. Your votes have not just elected the first opposition party into federal power, but has also set a precedent which will have positive implications for democracy across Africa.

A Drug Kingpin Wanted in The US Wins Nigerian Senatorial Seat
Prince Buruji Kashamu, a wealthy Nigerian businessman with a checkered past, has surprised many in the southwestern Ogun State by winning a senate seat for president Jonathan’s People’s Democratic Party (PDP). The PDP lost most of the seats it contested in this weekend’s elections.
But that isn't the most remarkable thing about Kashamu.
For 17 years he has been wanted in the United States for allegedly acting as the kingpin of a drug smuggling and money laundering ring. It was the same operation that landed American author Piper Kerman in jail for a year and inspired her memoir Orange Is The New Black. Kashamu strenuously denies the charges and claims it’s a case of mistaken identity; he says the US really wants his late brother.
There has been talk at times in Nigeria about extraditing him to the US. But being a strong supporter of the PDP, which has run Nigeria for the past 16 years, the move always seemed unlikely. Although former president Olusegun Obasanjo wanted him kicked out, he never managed it. Now Kashamu is going to sworn in as a senator, making the possibility even more remote.
Kashumu has proved an extremely slippery figure for US authorities, in an incident in 2013:
The case has frustrated prosecutors there, in part because they once had Kashamu in their grasp but lost him. English authorities arrested him when he landed there in 1998 and held him for five years during extradition hearings. Ultimately, however, British courts let Kashamu go after ruling that Chicago prosecutors had tainted their eyewitness identification evidence by failing to disclose that one of his co-defendants failed to pick him out of a photo lineup.
Kerman’s 2010 book about her time in jail was adapted into the critically acclaimed Netflix series of the same name. Most of the characters in the TV show are inspired by her experience, but her bosses have not been portrayed as Nigerian. However, Kerman’s book references a Nigerian kingpin known only as “Alaji”:
A little bit of Web research revealed that the man I knew as Alaji was a wealthy and powerful businessman-gangster in Africa, and I could certainly imagine that he might have connections that could make pesky things like extradition treaties go away.
Typically, “Alhaji” is a title used by Nigerian Muslims who have made the Hajj pilgrimage to Mecca. Kashumu is a Muslim.
The US government’s most recent offer for Kashumu to answer his charges included some helpful travel advice, If the Nigerian politician and businessman who was the alleged kingpin behind that ring wants the case to finally go away, he'll have to hop on a plane to Chicago, a U.S. Appeals Court has ruled.
And the 7th Circuit was even nice enough to give fugitive Prince Buruji Kashamu a hint where he can find “reasonably priced flights” from Lagos to Chicago

PDP Agent Attempt To Cause Unrest At The Presidential Collation Center
The collation of the 2015 election results which was supposed to continue this morning, has been interrupted, as unidentified individuals engage in protest at collation venue in Abuja.
-INEC Chairman, Attahiru Jega urges officials to avoid disrupting the collation process, stating that if any individual has any grievances, they should submit petitions in an orderly manner after the process.
The representative of the Peoples Democratic Party at the Presidential Collation Centre, Mr. Godday Orubebe has accused the chairman of Independent National Electoral Commission, Prof. Attaihiru Jega of bias over his failure to investigate the party protest letter on the election in Kano, Katsina, Jigawa.
Mr. Orubebe noted that while Jega set up a committe to investigate the protest letter of APC on Rivers election, he rejected the letter of PDP on Kano, Jigawa, Katsina and Kadunna.
“Jega threw our letter at us, saying that he will not investigate. Jega cannot be selective, he cannot be tribalist”.
He also shown a collated result across the 36 states and the FCT, which he noted was compiled by Jega and the APC. He added that the result were the same as the one announced by the electoral umpire, questioning how APC got the result when they have not be announced.

Read Prof. Jega's epic response to Orubebe this morning
After PDP party agent Godsday Orubebe created an embarrassing scene at the collation centre in Abuja this morning, trying to disrupt announcement of results (read here) a very calm Jega told him;
Jega's response to Orubebe has been hailed as mature and worthy of praise. In fact, there's a meaning for Jega now. 'Jega' - meaning - 'To be inexplicably chilled in the midst of stupidity or conflict". lol. Prof Jega's full response after the cut"Mr Orubebe, you are a former Minister of the Federal Republic .You are a statesman in your own right. You should be careful about what you say or what allegations or accusations you make. Certainly you should be careful about your public conduct"
"You have made two comments. One is that you submitted a petition which I refused to accept. Secondly you claimed that there was a result released by the APC which you alleged that we gave to them or I gave to them. With regards to the first point, yesterday after we took the first batch of results in this hall and as we declared a recess until 4pm, as I was walking down back to the office, my PA came to me and said that here are some papers that Dr Bello Fadile, a representative of the PDP said that he should collect it; that I said Dr Fadile should give him those papers. I told him that I didn't tell Dr Fadile to give any papers to you. Return them to him because Dr Fadile, after we declared for recess came on to this platform. As a party agent, he is not supposed to do that and gave some documents to my PA who is writing results here. and I am sure some of the agents and some of the pressmen may have seen that and I told my PA to take back those documents to him. If he told you I told him to give you any documents, I did not. Take them back to him, Subsequently, Dr Fadile sent me a text message saying that there are petitions and that he wants to submit them. I told him we don't collect petitions on the platform when we are declaring results and then he said I should have left my office open so that they can submit those petitions in my office. I told him our secretary, the secretary to the commission is not anywhere in this hall. She is in her office and that her business is to receive communication. If they are important enough, she would bring them to me here. I have started collation. I cannot be receiving petition in this hall or in this platform. And when I replied that text message, he replied again and said Okay, he will see what he can do. I interpreted the text as he was going to take that petition or whatever document he has to the secretary of the commission. As I speak with you now, I have not received anything from the secretary to the commission. That is regards to the issue of the so called petition.
Regarding results published by APC on its website, I do not give results to anybody. The results were announced formally as INEC are results declared here. And we have warned everybody to be careful and to ensure that the do not declare results which we have not officially announced. So as far as I am concerned I have not seen any results. I have not given anybody any results. So for you to even engage me on that issue I think frankly that is not fair to me. I have not seen the results. How can I speak on something that I have not seen. So please let us be careful of what we say or do so that we do not disrupt a process that has ended peacefully and in a matter of hours we would be able to finish it.". Jega said

PDP Distances Itself From Orubebe's Outburst At The Collation Center
PDP’s Elder Godsday Orubebe is trending for all the wrong reasons. Following his outburst a few hours ago during the ongoing collation of the presidential elections, he has become the second most talked about person in the country, after Jega who shut him down in an EPIC manner.
His party The People’s Democratic Party has now distanced itself from Orubebe who is currently on Channels TV defending his actions!
The party’s National publicity secretary Olisa Metuh reacted to Orubebe’s outburst saying,
In a democratic process, we must follow democratic channels. Yesterday we questioned the opposition party about certain things they had done to challenge states. We expect our members to follow the same process as well.
This party has a tradition of decency and will follow democratic channels to lay complaints. Ours is to protest and make our voices heard through recognized channels and wait for democratic process to be followed. We directed our members that everyone should conduct himself within democratic norms and principles. That is all we have to say about that.
Afrocandy - I Won't Visit Nigeria if Buhari Becomes President
Controversial Nigerian actress, Afrocandy, has expressed her decision to stay away from Nigeria if former Head of State, General Muhammadu Buhari, is declared winner of the presidential election held over the weekend. The actress observed that the poll has been more of tribal sentiments than choice of the people. She noted that those from northern Nigerian have thrown support for their own, while accusing those from the south of being divided. Afrocandy said if Buhari wins the election, he will turn his back on southerners.
“I pity all these people chanting 'Sai Buhari' when your name is not 'Malam Douda'. It is clear this is a Tribal Election and Hausa people stood by their own. When the chips are down, that's when Buhari Unfolds what he has in his Agenda, he won't recognize your name unless it sounds like 'ABOKI'. Then I'll be at my Base (USA) , Sipping on ma Moet with a little Umbrella Sticking out of it.
“I hear some of them talking sh*t, for their info I am a U.S Citizen and I can decide not to Visit Nigeria again until the 8 years he will rule or even until the world ends. I got the Power to Bring my whole Family over here if they chose......Na dem go use their own heads Carryiam!”
